Local Attractions

Veterans Memorial Park – Distance: 1.8 miles. Bring the family and enjoy the playground, ball fields, and walking paths. The park is home to many baseball and softball tournaments throughout the year. Veterans Memorial Railroad is known for its spectacular Christmas Train Rides.  Go check out their Facebook page for dates.

Apalachicola Bluffs and Ravines Preserve (The Garden of Eden Trail) – This scenic trail offers a peaceful journey through some of the most beautiful natural landscapes in the area. Blountstown – Our neighboring town across the Apalachicola River has many family-friendly activities available such as a splash pad, the Blountstown Greenway Hiking Trail, and The Panhandle Pioneer Settlement. Sam Atkins Park is a large park with a playground, walking trail, pickleball court, and more.

Torreya Hiking Trail at Torreya State Park – Whether you’re here for hiking, camping, or just soaking in the natural beauty, this park offers something for everyone. Explore the scenic trails, especially the famous Torreya Trail, which provides stunning views of the Apalachicola River.
